UX Audit :

 UX Audit :

“UX Audit” is a term used to describe the process of comprehensively evaluating the user experience of a particular digital product, such as a website or app.

This process is often used at the beginning of any project to redesign or improve an existing product (not a new product).

The goal of this process is to identify problems and opportunities that can improve the user experience.

These are important points that you should focus on while making this evaluation:

  • Usability: Is the website or application easy to use and understand?
  • Interactivity: How do users interact with the interface? Are there any obstacles that prevent them from completing the tasks?
  • Navigation: Is it easy to navigate between pages or sections?
  • Visual Design: Is the design attractive and fits with the brand’s visual identity?
  • Content: Is the content clear and understandable? Is it easy for the user to find the information he is looking for?
  • Responsiveness: How does the website or application appear on different devices such as mobile phones and tablets without any design flaw?

This data collection process is usually done using analysis tools such as Google Analytics. You can also use heat map tools, or do A/B Testing.

Other things that can provide you with important data are: Website Performance and Technical Analysis, Conversion Funnel Analysis, Accessibility Analysis, Surveys and User Feedback...etc.

There are many free and paid sites and tools to collect this data. The most famous of them is Hotjar, which has many free tools to analyze the user experience.
